Beware the Jabberwock!

Jabberwocky 3Jabberwocky 2Jabberwocky 1On Friday 7th March 10 Able, Gifted and Talented pupils from local Primary schools joined the English Department for an afternoon of poetry fun.

Pupils explored ‘The Jabberwocky’ by Lewis Carroll. First, pupils completed a wordsearch to introduce them to the nonsense language. This was followed by dramatised readings, plus some acting out of the poem. Pupils used adjectives to describe the mysterious animals in the poem before completing some comprehension questions.

A huge thank you to the pupils who attended for making the session so enjoyable. Thanks also must go to Mrs Musgrove for planning and leading the session, and Mrs Thomas and Miss Brooks for supporting.
